Mobile Network Code
Der MCC ist eine dreistellige Dezimalzahl und definiert weltweit eindeutig ein Land, der MNC innerhalb dieses Lands einen Netzanbieter. MCCs werden verwaltet und vergeben von der ITU. Die Kombination aus MCC und MNC wird oft als Netzcode bezeichnet. Siehe auch LAI, CGI
Beispiel: 262 ist der MCC für Deutschland, 02 ist der MNC für Vodafone, 07 der MNC für O2, also würde 262-02 das Netz der Vodafone Deutschland bezeichnen, 262-07 das Netz von O2 Deutschland.
Anhand der ersten Ziffer kann man eine geografische Einordnung vornehmen:

Der MCC 901 nimmt eine Sonderrolle ein. Er wird als "shared" bezeichnet, hier befinden sich alle Netze die in mehr als einem Land verfügbar sein sollen. Hier sind die existierenden Zuordnungen Land ↔ MCC, aus organisatorischen Gründen in Englisch :
